Low hardy shrub or climber with narrow oval glossy foliage with clusters of blue bell shaped flowers which are followed by small cylindrical berries, flowering occurs in spring to summer. It prefers well drained, fertile soil in a sunny position. It can become invasive and tolerates dry conditons.
