Variegated Sweet Flag has grass like foliage with a slow spreading growth habit. Its' 20-25cm blades form fans, like those of the Iris and will remain evergreen in warmer climates. The flowers are inconspicuous and the plants are grown mainly for their foliage. Sweet flag likes boggy conditions and can be grown in shallow water at pond edge, but is also at home in the average garden.
