The Common Cassinia has an upright growth habit. The dark green leaves are linear, stick and hairy. They are also small and thin. During summer and autumn it displays flowerheads of small, white flowers, clustered together. It prefers well drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded position. It is tolerant of frost, drought and coastal conditions.
