Silver Border has an upright, spreading growth habit. The leaves are ovate to arrow shaped and silver-grey in colour. They taste salty when eaten, hence the common name; salt bush. During spring it displays insignificant flowers. It prefers well drained soil in a sunny to partly shaded position and is tolerant of drought, frost and coastal conditions.
