Acacia maidenii

The Maiden's Wattle has a broad, canopied growth habit. The leaves are dark green and lanceolate in shape. During spring, pale yellow, flower spikes are displayed in groups of two or three. The seed pods are produced after flowering and are brown and hairy. The Maiden's Wattle prefers a sunny to partly shaded position in moist, well drained soil. It is frost tolerant, but can't cope with drought as it is often found on the edge of rainforests.
